A charming studio flat in the ancient Palazzo Borghese (former home of Paoline Bonaparte) right in the historical centre of Florence. High ceilings, beams and cotto floors, overlooks sunny internal courtyard, very bright.
This is the best way to feel Florence, come and live in one its ancient historical buildings, Palazzo Borghese, hidden right in the centre of Florence. This was the home of Pauline Bonaparte, sister of Napoleon. On the first floor of the Palazzo you can visit her apartment and her ballrooms. We are on the third floor (with lift), but you do get the feeling of the place! The apartment is spacious, a large room with high ceilings and beams, big window overlooking an internal courtyard, bright, quiet. There is a very small kitchenette with two electric plates. In the main room there is a fridge and a microwave oven, flat-screen TV, a large and confortable double bed, a table with chairs, ample storage. The apartment can confortably host a couple in the king-size bed. The gas central heating is operated by the tenant depending on their preferences.
Palazzo Borghese is literally a few steps from the Bargello Palace and museum and only minutes walk from Santa Croce, the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria. And of course you are right in the shopping area, surrounded by boutiques, bars and trattorias of all types. You enter the building from Via Pandolfini, while the suites overlook Via Ghibellina, on the main façade of the Palazzo.
Just 10 minutes away from the "Mercato di Sant'Ambrogio", were you can experience the real good quality of food, finding fresh fruits and vegetables on the outside of the market and fresh meat and fish on the inside, not counting a few little restaurant, ideal for a quick lunch in a Florentine style.
During the day, the area is full of life – there are many leather shops around the square and nearby streets, with the Sant’Ambrogio market acting as a main draw for residents and tourists alike as it offers fresh local produce, meats, cheeses and more every morning. The streets around the market offer various places to eat a quick and budget-friendly lunch, with many pizzerias and restaurants on the nearby Via de’ Macci and Borgo La Croce.
